The Head of Delivery will be a pivotal role that sits at the intersection of product, technology, customer success, and operational excellence. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for heading a team that goes out to the world to make our computer vision platform real for customers and partners.
The Head of Delivery leads a team of field engineers and demo specialists who travel globally to install, configure, and demonstrate our platform at customer sites. This includes everything from pre-sales demonstrations to full on-site installation, live system validation, and a defined post-deployment support period to ensure each customer rollout is stable and self-sufficient.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Delivery will work in close collaboration with product, engineering, and commercial teams to represent the product in the field, and fuel customer feedback and operational experience back into product development. The role requires a rare combination of technical depth, leadership ability, a passion for travel, and a relentless drive to deliver a world-class customer experience.
Delivery Team Leadership & Operations
- Lead, manage, and develop the delivery team, including field engineers and demo specialists.
- Own the end-to-end planning and execution of all customer deliveries, installations, and demonstration events globally.
- Build scalable delivery processes, playbooks, and standard operating procedures to support efficient and consistent project execution.
- Allocate personnel, equipment, and resources across concurrent delivery engagements worldwide.
- Establish and track delivery KPIs, ensuring the team meets quality, timeline, and customer satisfaction targets.
- Foster a high-performance culture within the delivery team, anchored in accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
Pre-Deployment Testing & Solution Validation
- Define and own a rigorous pre-deployment testing protocol that all delivery personnel must complete before any customer go-live.
- Ensure the solution is fully tested end-to-end in a controlled environment prior to on-site installation, covering hardware, software, integrations, and edge cases.
- Develop and maintain standardized test plans, checklists, and acceptance criteria that reflect real-world customer environments and use cases.
- Oversee the sign-off process for each deployment, ensuring no system is handed over to a customer without passing all validation criteria.
- Work closely with the engineering team to align testing protocols with the latest product releases and flag regressions or issues discovered during pre-deployment testing.
- Build a culture of quality within the delivery team where testing is treated as a core part of the delivery process, not an afterthought.
On-Site Installation & Commissioning
- Oversee and personally participate in the installation and commissioning of our platform at customer sites around the world.
- Ensure all hardware and software components are correctly deployed, calibrated, and validated prior to handover.
- Define and enforce installation standards and quality checklists that guarantee a consistent, reliable deployment every time.
- Coordinate logistics for equipment shipping, site preparation, and team travel across multiple geographies.
- Liaise with customers’ technical and facilities teams to ensure readiness and smooth on-site execution.
Product Demonstrations
- Lead high-impact demonstrations of our platform to prospective and existing customers, showcasing its capabilities in live environments.
- Collaborate with the commercial team to tailor demo narratives and scenarios to the specific needs and interests of each customer audience.
- Build and maintain a world-class demo setup that is always customer-ready, reliable, and up to date with the latest product features.
- Train and coach team members on delivering compelling, technically sound demonstrations.
- Represent Muybridge with professionalism and deep technical credibility during customer visits and industry events.
Post-Deployment Support
- Own the post-deployment support period for each customer site, providing dedicated first-line technical support during and immediately after installation until the system is stable and the customer is self-sufficient.
- Define the scope and duration of the post-deployment period for each rollout, with a clear transition plan to hand off ongoing support to the appropriate team once the threshold is met.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and integration issues in the field, working closely with the engineering team when required.
- Feed field learnings, recurring issues, and customer pain points back into the product and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with the product and engineering teams to stay current on the roadmap and translate field insights into actionable product improvements.
- Partner with the commercial team on pre-sales delivery planning and ensure smooth handover from deal close to live deployment.
- Contribute to the development of training materials, technical documentation, and operational playbooks that enable team scaling.
- Continuously benchmark delivery best practices and identify opportunities to raise quality, reduce time-to-deployment, and improve the customer experience.
- Report on delivery pipeline, resource utilization, and team performance to senior leadership.
