ABOUT ZIVID

Zivid has developed the world's most accurate real-time 3D camera for robotics and industrial applications. The camera provides robots and machines with 3D vision to make them smarter, more flexible, and more intelligent. Among many applications, the Zivid product can be used to recognize randomly distributed parts for pick-and-place or do in-line quality control of 3D components in a production line.

Job Description

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in crafting the next generation of 3D cameras. Your work will encompass every stage of the design process, from concept inception to prototype realization, simulations, and seamless integration into mass production. You'll wield your expertise in various production technologies, including metal fabrication, plastic molding, and more. If you're excited by the challenge of translating complex CAD models into tangible, game-changing products, this role is tailor-made for you. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a team of brilliant minds to ideate, design, and refine cutting-edge 3D camera systems.
  • Leverage your mastery of 3D CAD tools, such as SolidWorks, to create intricate designs that bridge the gap between imagination and reality.
  • Lead the charge in selecting and implementing production techniques, spanning metal fabrication, plastic molding, and beyond.
  • Cultivate relationships with a global network of suppliers, harnessing their expertise to drive excellence in execution.
  • Seamlessly interface with diverse engineering disciplines and external partners, ensuring a smooth and holistic approach to product development.
  • Translate your technical prowess into impactful written and oral communication, influencing the trajectory of projects.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Mechanical Design or Industrial Design, showcasing your academic foundation in the field.
  • Proven proficiency in wielding 3D CAD tools, with a particular emphasis on SolidWorks or comparable software.
  • A track record of successful projects that demonstrate your command of metal fabrication, plastic molding, and similar production techniques.
  • Experience collaborating within a global supplier network, spotlighting your ability to create and maintain fruitful partnerships.
  • A self-driven mindset that enables you to independently manage tasks, multitask effectively, and harmonize with cross-functional teams.
  • Stellar communication skills, both written and verbal, allowing you to articulate complex concepts with clarity and precision.
  • A hands-on attitude and a willingness to dive into practical work, a testament to your dedication to tangible outcomes.
  • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Mechanical Design, showcasing your proven abilities.
