WOID AS is best characterized as a young company. We are eager to learn, solution-oriented, future-oriented and ambitious. We are two women in our mid-20s who are driven by social equality. We observe the discrimination, isolation and stigmatization that vulnerable social groups are exposed to on a daily basis. We want to contribute with a solution. Woid is developing a support application for people who use hearing aids in everyday life. Today's hearing aids do a fantastic job, but they are not enough in situations with a lot of background noise or in places with poor acoustics. There is a lot of assistive technology to assist the hearing aids in such situations, which most often involve external microphones. Our solution is simple; we want to use the microphone that is already found in all mobile phones, and thus make the technology available to everyone. We want the mobile phone to function as an external microphone in settings where a hearing aid alone is not sufficient.
