We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Country Manager to lead our operations in Germany, with a core focus on driving growth within the GenZ & Millennials segment and fostering deep connections across key industry ecosystems. The ideal candidate will bring a unique blend of leadership, marketing acumen, and entrepreneurial spirit to elevate our presence in high-potential sectors and manage a dedicated team to deliver exceptional outcomes.

This is a high-ownership role where you will build and scale Tise in Germany from scratch - combining strategic leadership with hands-on execution.

This job is located in Berlin, Germany.

About the team and the role:

The Germany Country team is responsible for building and scaling Tise’s presence in one of our key growth markets. With a focus on Gen Z and Millennial audiences, the team drives marketplace growth across supply and demand, strengthens partnerships within the influencer, pre-loved fashion, and sustainability ecosystems, and brings our brand to life locally.

As Country Manager, you will lead and grow our Germany operations from the ground up. This is a high-ownership role combining strategic leadership with hands-on execution. You will own the country results, set and deliver ambitious growth targets, and build a high-performing cross-functional team. Reporting to global leadership, you will align local strategies with company priorities while shaping Tise’s long-term success in Germany.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a cross-functional team of professionals, providing strategic guidance, performance coaching, and career development support to drive team engagement and operational excellence.

  • Develop and execute country-specific growth strategies tailored to the GenZ & Millennials segment, leveraging insights into youth culture, consumption trends, and digital behaviors to capture market share and enhance brand relevance.

  • Cultivate and maintain robust relationships across the influencer landscape, pre-loved fashion community, and sustainability sectors, identifying collaboration opportunities to amplify brand influence and drive community engagement.

  • Oversee the integration of social media strategies into overall business objectives, utilizing peer-to-peer commerce capabilities and creator economy trends to boost user acquisition, retention, and conversion.

  • Drive local supply & demand growth by building strategies that increase both inventory (sellers/listings) and buyer engagement, ensuring strong marketplace liquidity.

  • Drive entrepreneurial initiatives within the country operation, identifying market gaps, testing innovative approaches, and scaling successful pilots to drive revenue growth and competitive advantage.

  • Collaborate with global headquarters to align country strategies with overall corporate goals, providing regular market insights, performance reports, and recommendations for strategy refinement.

  • Own the German country growth targets, including budget allocation across local initiatives and performance tracking.

  • Champion sustainability principles across all operations, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and evolving consumer expectations for eco-conscious Brands.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven leadership experience, with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.

  • Deep expertise and connections in at least two of the following sectors: secondhand fashion, peer-to-peer commerce, creator economy, or sustainability-focused brands/community-led platforms.

  • Exceptional social media literacy, with the ability to leverage social platforms, influencer partnerships, and digital trends to drive business results.

  • Strong commercial mindset and ability to connect brand-building with measurable growth outcomes.

  • Highly versatile with a demonstrated ability to adapt to fast-paced, evolving market environments and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Strong understanding of the GenZ & Millennials consumer segment, including their purchasing behaviors, values, and engagement preferences.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with hands-on experience in launching new initiatives, scaling projects, or founding/co-founding a business at some point in their career.

  • Experience launching a brand, platform, or market presence from scratch (or taking something from early stage to scale) is a strong advantage.

Preferred Background

  • Experience working in top local marketing agencies, with a focus on influencer marketing, fashion clients, or peer-to-peer commerce campaigns.

  • Experience at leading management consulting firms combined with subsequent roles in marketing, fashion, or startup environments.

  • Experience at tech companies with a focus on marketing, user growth, or community management.

  • A mix of agency and fashion industry experience, with a proven ability to bridge creative, commercial, and operational objectives.

  • Experience from marketplaces, resale, or fashion e-commerce (e.g. similar ecosystems to Vinted/Zalando/eBay) is a plus.

What you will accomplish:

  • Build and scale Tise’s Germany business from early stage to sustainable growth, owning the country results, budget allocation, and performance against growth targets.

  • Develop and execute a Germany growth strategy focused on Gen Z and Millennial audiences, increasing brand relevance, market share, and community engagement.

  • Drive marketplace liquidity by accelerating both supply (sellers and listings) and demand (buyers and engagement), improving user acquisition, retention, and conversion.

  • Lead and develop a cross-functional local team, providing clear direction, coaching, and growth opportunities to enable strong performance and engagement.

  • Establish and grow partnerships across influencers, the pre-loved fashion community, and sustainability-focused platforms to expand reach and deepen ecosystem connections.

  • Integrate social media and creator strategies into commercial objectives, leveraging digital trends and peer-to-peer commerce dynamics to deliver measurable business outcomes.

  • Identify market gaps, test new initiatives, and scale successful pilots in collaboration with global teams, using data and market insights to refine strategy and drive continuous improvement.

What you will bring:

  • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams, with accountability for commercial results and operational execution.

  • Deep expertise and established networks in at least two of the following: secondhand fashion, peer-to-peer commerce, creator economy, sustainability-focused brands, or community-led platforms.

  • Strong commercial judgment, with the ability to connect brand-building initiatives to measurable growth outcomes.

  • Demonstrated experience launching or scaling a brand, platform, or market presence, ideally taking an early-stage initiative to growth.

  • Advanced social media fluency, including influencer partnerships and digital growth strategies that drive acquisition and engagement.

  • Strong understanding of Gen Z and Millennial consumer behavior, purchasing patterns, and digital engagement preferences.

  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment, balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution.

Work location: Berlin, Germany. Travel and flexibility may be required in line with business needs.
