We’re looking for a Risk Operations Intern to support our global Risk team. The role is part-time (approx. 20h/week) during out of office hours, on a fixed-term contract with the potential of converting to a full-time offer at the end of your tenure. You will work a mix of onsite and remote work depending on your location and preference. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in high-growth B2B payments fintech, working directly with Risk Operators and Data Scientists to safeguard our financial ecosystem.

About the Role
As a Risk Operations Intern, you’ll play a pivotal role in detecting and preventing fraudulent activities. You will work closely with the Risk and Data Science team to ensure our fraud detection strategies are robust. You’ll learn by doing, owning investigations from start to finish, and helping us optimise our risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Fraud Prevention: Monitor and reviewing potentially fraudulent orders, during out-of-office hours. This involves taking investigations from start to finish.
- Process Improvement: Provide feedback on observations back to the Risk and Data Science team to drive iterative improvements in our risk engine and processes.
- KPI Management: Assist in achieving key deliverables, such as keeping fraud losses to a minimum.
About You
- Analytical & detail-oriented: You have an incredible eye for detail and a logical, decisive mind.
- Strong communicator: You possess great written and oral communication skills, primarily in English.
- Proactive & curious: You have a natural curiosity, a willingness to learn, and an investigative mindset.
- Ownership: You have a track record of taking ownership of tasks and seeing projects through from end to end.
- Problem Solver: You have the skill to break complex problems into smaller, achievable tasks.
- Currently studying (In the penultimate or final year of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM, Economics, Business, Finance, or a related field in the Nordics).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working with numbers and familiar with SQL (Metabase) and Google Sheets.
- Industrious and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Experience in the payments or fintech industry is a plus, but not required.
- Fluency in Norwegian or Swedish is a plus.
- Able to commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week within office hours.
