About the Role
We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance Operations Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day processing of financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. Your contributions will be critical to maintaining the integrity of our payment systems and delivering excellent service to our customers.
You will be joining a growing finance team of three and will report directly to the Finance Director. Our finance team is essential to the success of the business—driving financial operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting business growth through accurate reporting and data-driven insights. Key Responsibilities:
- Process payments: Handle various types of payments (bank transfers, electronic payments) with accuracy and efficiency.
- Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile incoming and outgoing payments against bank statements and internal records. Promptly address any discrepancies.
- Customer support: Assist customers with payment-related issues (failed transactions, refunds, chargebacks) and resolve inquiries with high-quality service.
- System management: Manage payment processing systems and work with IT teams to implement updates, troubleshoot issues, and improve efficiency.
- Reporting & analysis: Generate reports on payment activities, analyse transaction data, and identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Cross-department collaboration: Work with customer service and operations teams to resolve payment issues and ensure a seamless payment experience.
- Process optimisation: Identify and implement opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
- Training & documentation: Train staff on payment procedures and maintain comprehensive documentation of processes and policies.
