reMarkable creates hardware and software products that help people all over the world find focus. We launched our original reMarkable 1 paper tablet in 2017. Since then, we’ve sold more than 1,5 million devices, grown to over 400 employees, and transformed from a small startup to a fast-growing scaleup. Following the successful launch of the reMarkable 2, which was named one of TIME's top 100 inventions of 2020, our subscription service Connect in 2021, and the Type Folio in 2023, we've set ourselves exciting growth and product development goals for the coming years.

With a brand new office opening in 2024 at Majorstuen in Oslo, and exciting development goals, we need new colleagues to join our journey.

The role as Senior Test Developer

In the Test Automation unit we develop automated tests for our reMarkable tablet, mobile and desktop applications. You will contribute to automation of end-to-end tests of our software features using frameworks like Squish for Qt, in one of our cross-functional software teams. Depending on your interests and qualifications, you might also work with improving integration tests, strengthening our embedded test setup, or mobile/desktop testing frameworks.
The Test Automation unit is involved with different quality assurance activities throughout the software lifecycle. We consist of 14 highly motivated people with different skill sets and responsibilities, and we have a lot of work ahead of us. As a Test Developer you will be a key contributor towards high quality and excellent user experiences.

More tasks and responsibilities

• Be an active contributor to the quality culture at reMarkable and continuous development of our subject area.
• Define, own and implement initiatives as needed on unit and team level. Be a quality advocate towards the other team members.
• Manage and continue to develop our test automation framework and improve how we can verify and validate our solutions.

Who we believe will succeed in this role

We believe that you have a background within software development or testing/quality assurance and experience with Python or object oriented programming. As a candidate, you should be well-versed in test automation frameworks, and we welcome diverse experiences with various frameworks.
