The team you will be joining

As a member of our Direct Sales tribe, you will collaborate with ambitious colleagues in a cross functional team, where we're revolutionizing the shopping experience for our customers. As a crucial part of our team, you will be instrumental in the creation and enhancement of our store webpage, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly platform for customers to make direct purchases.

Collaborating closely with UX designers, visual designers, content creators, test automation experts, and product managers, you'll play a pivotal role in optimizing operations and enhancing the overall sales process. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a cross-functional team, driving the evolution of our online store and elevating the customer shopping experience. We have adopted what’s often called a composable stack, and that means we build for change. We use a set of various service providers and software, including Vercel Cloud, Sanity, Commerce tools, GitHub, and Google Cloud. These services play a crucial role in hosting our direct sales storefront, managing endpoints, and supporting various platforms, ensuring a robust and seamlessly integrated ecosystem.

In order to ensure the quality of our work and what we deliver, we use tools like Sentry, Cypress, Percy, CodeCov, Terraform, and StackHawk.

Fullstack Developer in Direct Sales

As a Fullstack Developer in one of our Direct Sales teams at reMarkable, you will play an important role in the development and enhancement of software solutions that power our e-commerce platform. Your responsibilities will involve working closely with the development team to write efficient and maintainable code, addressing challenges, and identifying potential issues in the codebase. In your role, you'll assume technical leadership when called for, leveraging your extensive experience in software design.

You'll be an integral part of the team, contributing to discussions about identified problems and collaboratively finding solutions. An agile mindset and proactive approach will be essential as you take responsibility for your product from ideation to implementation. Additionally, your creative mindset will be invaluable in translating conceptual ideas into tangible, functional code.

Who we believe will succeed in this role

You are a fullstack developer who not only feels comfortable, but excels in working with modern technologies, adding significant value to our products. Proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Node is a must. A strong familiarity with NextJS and Tailwind is a great advantage. Your understanding and application of type safety demonstrate your commitment to code quality and robust development practices. You recognize the importance of clean code, testing and seamlessly incorporate techniques such as unit testing and end-to-end testing when relevant. As a candidate, you bring relevant education and experience to the table, showcasing your expertise in the field. Experience with CI/CD processes is highly desirable, as you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our development pipelines.
