The Security Team

This role will be a part of the Security team and will report to our Head of Security. This role will work with different teams within reMarkable. The Security team has an entrepreneurial/solution oriented mindset - where they thrive in a fast-paced environment constantly changing and adjusting to business needs.
The goal of the security team is to enable reMarkable to achieve our business objectives by working across the organization to protect the company and the customers.

About the role

As SecOps Engineer you will be part of the Security team and working particularly closely with the IT and Applications team. You will have an impact on our resilience against an evolving threat landscape. You will be hands-on in the hardening and mgmt of SaaS applications and infrastructure. You will be evaluating, testing, implementing and operating security solutions and working closely with our IT operations team to transfer security knowledge and respond to incidents.

As SecOps Engineer you will have the following responsibilities:

Improve the security of our business solutions and add new security capabilities, in collaboration with other functions and teams
Be a subject matter expert and in investigation and response to security incidents, including root cause analysis and implementing appropriate remediation measures across our infrastructure and applications
Be a subject matter expert and exemplify for reMarkable ways to execute on relevant security standards, tools and practices for security operations, cloud infrastructure, applications and storage
Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability management, threat modeling and ensuring that improvements are implemented to achieve measurable results

We find that you will have success with us if you have the following experience/skills:

• Proven track record in a similar role, with experience as a security analyst or incident responder leveraging modern SOC tools and processes

• Understanding of SOC processes, methodologies and metrics

• Established understanding of cloud computing, productivity and platforms and services (AWS, Azure, Google Workspace, Auth0, SAST, DAST, IAM, etc.), SaaS security.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with awareness of business context to identify, prioritize and mitigate security risks & threats effectively

• Effective stakeholder management skills and strong communication abilities.

• Thrives in an ever-changing environment typical of a scale-up culture.
