reMarkable creates hardware and software products that help people all over the world find focus. We launched our original reMarkable 1 paper tablet in 2017. Since then, we’ve sold more than 2 million devices, grown to over 400 employees, and transformed from a small startup to a fast-growing scaleup.

Following the successful launch of the reMarkable 2, which was named one of TIME's top 100 inventions of 2020, our subscription service Connect in 2021, and the Type Folio in 2023, we've set ourselves exciting growth and product development goals for the coming years. With a brand new campus opening in 2024 at Majorstuen in Oslo, and exciting products and services in development, we need new colleagues to join our journey.

We are looking for a senior industrial designer, specialized in development of consumer technology to help us explore how we can help people think better. In reMarkable you will be given ownership to selected projects, with responsibility for the user's perspective throughout the design process, and be central in the follow-up of partners and manufacturers.

About the role

As a Senior Industrial designer, you will play a central role in shaping the future concepts. You will research, analyze and utilize future trends. You will explore, develop and visualize concepts that answer to both clear and less concrete user needs. Furthermore you will lead the product design process during early stages of product development and develop design intention for selected concepts. The main purpose of this role is to create world class industrial designs that enable reMarkable to reach its strategic goals.

Who are you?

• A senior industrial designer experienced in and comfortable with working at the early stages of product development, mock-ups and rapid prototyping

• You are passionate about product design, concerned with details, eager to learn and can fight for the user's perspective in difficult product decisions from design for mass production

These are some characteristics we are looking for in the Senior Industrial Designer:

• Bachelor or Masters degree in Product/Industrial Design

• 3+ years of work experience in industrial design and relevant development

• A portfolio with successful projects

• Extensive experience in in CAD, preferably SolidWorks

• High proficiency in rendering, preferably Keyshot

• Experience from development of consumer technology is an advantage
