You will be joining the “People First” reMarkable People Team

In reMarkable the People team is exposed to a variety of operational day-to-day tasks, where we need to be both reactive and proactive to solve ad-hoc challenges that come our way. As reMarkable is growing, we adjust to the impact that has on our workload and how we organize ourselves. We are used to that no days are the same and to constantly develop with the tasks that are in front of us. We are involved in strategic initiatives and longer term planning to implement new and improved processes - and consequently working to adapt to a growing organization with global ambitions. Some of your responsibilities as Senior People Advisor:

  • Partner with the department heads, setting the team up for success in achieving company strategy from a people perspective. Managing staff relationships, responding to any queries or problems that they have and managing their expectations. You will be assigned a Department in a specific business area where you will be supporting building their capabilities, planning and managing talent retention and advising on talent planning.

  • Responsible for the day-to-day functioning of the HR department. The People Team are responsible for anything to do with HR, ensuring policies are consistent and HR queries are dealt with promptly and reliably. You will be providing advice and playing a major role in work reviews and change processes as well as using HR information systems to access, input and compile data. You will do capability investigations, including grievance and disciplinary while driving the business performance in relation to the organization’s objectives

  • Developing approaches that achieve shared organizational objectives : An important part of the job is to lead or assist in executing People related processes such as, but not limited to re-organizations, salary process, Learning & development initiatives performance management. This to ensure that organizational objectives align with scalability goals. Designing and improving central people processes that will enable us to meet overall organizational objectives.

  • Work to stay a subject matter expert in the People field: continuously seek to have a deep understanding of human resources and be able to provide expert advice on a wide range of People issues provide clear and concise advice. Demonstrate this by acting as a local point of people expertise for specialist teams that are implementing new people approaches and bringing people expertise and developing solutions to help the business area to deliver its strategy.

We are looking for the following experience:

  • Operational competency: Extensive experience in HR related functions, preferably in a Matrix organization. Demonstrated hands-on experience in serving operational support, dealing with the day-to-day issues across the whole HR value chain

  • HR Strategy competency: Enabling business strategy by delivering best in class people approaches with a Commercial awareness. Understanding how you can leverage your strategic company insights supporting the organization with tailored HR strategies and tactics to ensure that HR adds demonstrable value to the organization.

  • We envision that you have experience from a larger company and/or been part of large organization changes as a result of scale-up, preferably from Tech industry with a global presence

  • Supporting an organization in growth: You have been part of a company that went through a larger transformation and have understanding of the different business needs are in related to growth and changes

  • Legal understanding : You have been exposed to People related issues in regards to Norwegian legislation & employment law.

  • Experience using people analytics, this to identify high potential employees, analyze benefits, achieve fair pay and incentives, and project future talent needs. Leveraging the power of data analytics to make better, evidence-based decisions. Able to turn data into compelling messages using storytelling and demonstrate business impact
