About the role
As a Technology Supplier Commodity Manager you will work in close contact with suppliers enabling a well operating supply chain for our products. You will report to the Head of Technology Sourcing. The role’s key responsibilities will be to:
Accountable, together with the sourcing commodity manager, for the commodity strategy and the supply-base enabling it.
Leading regular negotiations for the assigned commodities.
Benchmarking the industry ensuring competitive value to rM by the managed supply-base.
Identifying and tracking appropriate market indicators for your Commodities, anticipating market trends and transitions.
Accountable for all aspects of supplier relationship management including all technical, commercial, delivery, quality and overall performance.
You will work with the Product and Operations teams to address Line Stops, Line Alerts in the factory and Field Recalls generated by the owned suppliers.
Negotiating, and executing all aspects/terms of Master Agreements and legal settlement/agreements.

You will use your ability to influence, both inside and outside rM, to make sure we execute our strategy. Your top negotiation skills are used daily so that rM is competitive in the marketplace and our customers love our products.
You are outgoing and enjoy building and maintaining business relationships. Familiarity and experience working with ERP systems will be an advantage. You are structured and able to scope, plan and manage your own work. You have a strong business acumen and can handle stakeholders and dependencies on other departments of the company.
The role will require global traveling and you must have the willingness and ability to travel up to 20%.
BA/BS in Business, Engineering etc. MBA preferred.
5+ years of cross functional Supply Chain experience.
Excellent skills in supplier management, and contracts review and management.
Ability to develop and execute short-, mid-, and long-term strategies.
Expertise in building positive relationships internally and externally, and conflict resolution.
Experience in "Display and Touch" or "Optics" commodity is preferred.
Chinese/Mandarin language preferred.
