Job Description

Position Overview
We are seeking an Operations Technology Specialist with strong expertise in Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and server management. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and security of our industrial control systems and supporting infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and maintain HMI systems to optimize operator interaction with industrial processes.
  • Program, troubleshoot, and support PLC systems for automation and process control.
  • Manage and maintain servers supporting OT applications, including patching, backups, and performance monitoring.
  • Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to integrate OT systems with enterprise networks securely.
  • Conduct system diagnostics, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions for OT-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and best practices in OT environments.
  • Provide technical support and training to operations staff on OT systems.
  • Document configurations, procedures, and system changes for audit and knowledge-sharing purposes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Automation, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Hands-on experience with HMI design tools (e.g., Wonderware, Ignition, FactoryTalk View).
  • Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms).
  • Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux server administration.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, OPC, Ethernet/IP).
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals and cybersecurity in OT environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with SCADA systems and industrial data historians.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Exposure to cloud integration for industrial systems.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Security+, or ISA/IEC 62443 are a plus.

  • Travel: Minimal, may include visits to plant sites or vendor facilities
