The role
As a Business Development Representative at PLAATO, you will be at the front of our growth engine. Your mission is to create qualified pipeline for PLAATO Insights by starting conversations with the right stakeholders at global beverage and liquid manufacturing organizations. You will uncover operational challenges, qualify fit, and help turn targeted outreach into high quality opportunities for the Account Executive team.
What you will be doing
- Own outbound prospecting with guidance. Build and run targeted outreach across email, LinkedIn, and phone to open first conversations with global accounts in beverage and liquid manufacturing.
- Qualify opportunities. Run structured discovery to assess fit against our ICP, including production complexity, pain points, urgency, budget alignment, and the buying process across multiple stakeholders and sites.
- Create momentum. Nurture leads with relevant insights, clear value, and crisp next steps to progress conversations into qualified meetings.
- Partner with Account Executives, Growth, and Marketing. Align on target account lists, messaging, and campaigns, and hand off opportunities with strong context and clear qualification notes.
- Keep the pipeline clean. Log activity and notes accurately in our CRM, maintain high data quality, and support clean handovers and forecasting.
- Surface market insight. Share what you learn from the field: common pain points, objections, terminology, and competitor context to sharpen our targeting and positioning.
- Support events and campaigns. Engage leads before and after webinars, industry events, and campaigns to convert interest into real pipeline.
What will help you thrive
- 0 to 2 years of experience in a BDR/SDR role (internship, campus selling, or other customer facing experience is welcome).
- Familiarity with Hubspot and LinkedIn Sales Navigator. Exposure to Outreach or similar tools is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication: clear, concise, and credible across cultures and seniority levels.
- Organized and able to manage multiple outreach sequences and follow ups across time zones.
- Curious and coachable: you learn quickly, apply feedback, and improve your craft continuously.
- Resilient and goal oriented: you move with pace, handle rejection well, and stay focused on outcomes.
- Collaborative: you work well with AEs, Growth, and Marketing and celebrate shared wins.
Practicalities
- Location: Oslo, in-office
- Travel: Some travel should be expected, especially around global industry events and key account activity.
