About Mobai and the role
Mobai recently launched a new service supporting the issuance of BankID and other eIDs. The service was delivered end-to-end in record time. Our motivation with the service is to ensure that the right person gets the right digital identity, and subsequently that it is the same person using the digital identity in the following authentications.
We strive to build solutions to prevent identity theft and account takeovers.
The service is now live, and banks are asking us to expand both functionality and deliver completely new product modules. To keep up with demand, we are strengthening the Identity Proofing team with a full-stack developer who wants to build services used in the critical onboarding flow of users in a system. You will work closely with the team lead, tech lead, solution architect and mobile developers in the identity proofing team. As well as working closely with other engineering roles from other team, when needed.

Your area of responsibility
- Design and develop end-to-end identity proofing services
- Build APIs, integrations, and domain logic using Java/Kotlin and Spring
- Contribute across the stack (React / Next.js where relevant)
- Ensure security, reliability, and performance in production
- In collaboration with the team, make decisions on what we are building

What we are looking for
- At least 2 years of experience as a software developer
- Higher relevant education (BSc/MSc in Computer Science or similar)
- JVM experience (Java and/or Kotlin) and experience with Spring Boot / Spring Security
- Have experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript/JavaScript
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and system integrations
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
- Familiarity with OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect
- Understanding of domain-driven design concepts

Furthermore, it is a bonus if you:
- Have worked in or delivered software to sectors such as finance, identity, or security
- Care deeply about security and privacy by design

Location
Our offices are located in Gjøvik and Oslo. We are a hybrid organization, and we are flexible with locations as long as you can meet at Gjøvik/ Oslo.
