Now, we’re looking for a Technical Sales Representative to join our Oslo office — someone who’s curious, thoughtful, and eager to help prospects understand how our solutions can make a difference.
The Role
This is a technical sales and presales role at the intersection of sustainability and technology. You’ll engage with prospects across the Nordic and German markets, learning our solutions in depth and helping potential clients see how Mitigrate can support their climate and risk management goals. You will report to the VP of Sales Strategy and Insurance, based in London, and work closely with senior colleagues and non-executive advisors who make introductions and support business development activities. Our clients are predominantly in Insurance, Mortgages and Housing Associations so experience or knowledge of these sectors are of benefit.
Key responsibilities
- Engage with Nordic and German prospects, supporting the full sales journey from first contact to handover.
- Learn and present Mitigrate’s solutions, answering questions and clearly articulating value to technical and commercial audiences.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and follow-up materials.
- Manage correspondence, ensuring timely communication and accurate tracking in the CRM.
- Collaborate with internal teams on pricing, proposals, and client onboarding.
- Maintain an active pipeline and provide regular progress updates to the VP of Sales Strategy and Insurance.
- Coordinate with non-executives and advisors who introduce prospects or provide regional insight.
- Participate in weekly remote meetings and occasional events or conferences.
What We’re Looking For
- 2-5 years of experience in technical sales, presales, or business development.
- Ideally someone who has experience of working with or at an insurance company or broker
- Strong interest in climate change, sustainability, and technology.
- Confident communicator who can engage with both business and technical audiences.
- Comfortable saying “I don’t know” and taking responsibility to find the answer.
- Organised and proactive with strong follow-up habits.
- Fluent in Norwegian, German, and English (English is our primary business language).
- Experience using CRM tools such as HubSpot or Salesforce.
