About Li-Tech

Li-Tech aims to revolutionize waste facilities by being the first to offer a solution that reduces battery-related fires. Our vision is to create a safe, environmentally friendly and resource-efficient waste management.

Li-Tech will achieve this by developing a detection method that identifies flammable batteries in electronics early in the waste stream. Li-Tech has a large network and access to resources. We are a part of Startuplab Accelerator and collaborate with Avfall Norge, RENAS and the Norwegian University of Life Science (NMBU). In addition, we have obtained a paying pilot customer and partner, Stena Recycling - one of the leading recycling companies in Northern Europe.

We are now looking for a CTO and Co-founder to join our team!

Do you want to lead the technological development in a proactive and innovative startup? Li-Tech offers a unique opportunity to join our team as a technical leader and partner. As CTO in Li-Tech you will take part in our core team, and will be the executive in charge of our technological -development and -needs. The goal of the CTO position is to drive the technological development towards commercialization - becoming the markets leading provider within battery detection.

Together with our engineers, you will work hands-on with the product and software development. We are looking for a CTO that is structured, proactive and driven by leading others towards a common vision. Due to our dynamic environment - you have to be flexible, solution oriented and be comfortable with challenges.

Our prototype and technology is verified in lab - the next step is to install it in industrial environments for further testing and development.

Your key responsibilities will be

• System development: Design, implement and optimize system architecture and - integration.
• Testing, verification and development of firmware
• Design and implement strategy plans
• Guide, lead and support the development team

Preferred qualification and experience

• Background in data science, electronic, cybernetics or similar.
• Knowledge or experience with: rust, system integration and computer vision
• Knowledge or experience with S3-bucket (or similar), Postgres, Actix-web and AWS.
• Excellent collaboration and leadership skills
• Curious and eager to learn new stuff

The employment is full time - Salary and share options are to be negotiated.
