Be Your Best™ is seeking a world-class Junior Full-Stack Web Developer – Remote-First (Europe/Scandinavia)

We are revolutionising the way soccer players train with our cutting-edge VR software, and we are seeking a passionate and talented Junior Full-Stack Web Developer to join our growing remote-first team. You will play a crucial role in building and enhancing the web-based components of our platform, including our React-powered web apps and serverless backend infrastructure. Your work will help shape how players track their progress, access personalised training plans, and connect with coaches and teammates through our web and mobile platforms.

You’ll collaborate closely with our Lead Web Developer to deliver high-quality web experiences that help players track their progress, access personalised training plans, and connect with coaches and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with our Lead Web Developer to design, develop, and maintain our React-based web apps and Node.js backend services.
• Work on multiple web apps, including:
• Mobile companion web app
• VR web app
• Web portal
• Contribute to the full development cycle, from concept to deployment, across both frontend and backend services.
• Build and maintain serverless backend APIs using Google Cloud Functions (TypeScript).
• Ensure high-quality, clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Collaborate with other teams, including VR developers and product designers, to ensure seamless integration across platforms.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment pipelines.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest web development technologies, tools, and best practices.

Requirements

• You're based in Europe/Scandinavia
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and experience with modern React development.
• Strong understanding of web development principles and best practices.
• Experience with serverless backend development, particularly using Google Cloud Functions or other cloud platforms (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, etc.).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and backend integration.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a remote-first environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Bonus Points

• Passion for Football
• Experience with DevOps or CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Unity WebView integrations.
• Experience with performance optimization for web apps.
• Interest in sports technologies or VR/game development.
• Familiarity with frontend testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, etc.).
